What Brings Us Joy

Being in the midst of God’s call and His mission is to be where we ought to be and that brings joy.
Alexander and Luba
For Alexander in Ukraine, he knows God's will for his life is to serve the body of Christ through theological education. In affirmation of this, Alexander has seen how he's been able to continue training believers in Ukraine, even despite the—sometimes intense—COVID-19 restrictions.
Throughout the Thanksgiving and Christmas season, Alexander and his wife, Luba, have been focusing on being in the midst of God's call and mission because they know that exhorting small churches, serving in crisis pregnancy centers (in Luba's case), and training believers is the right place for them to be and that it will bring joy.
Training Believers
In the midst of the adaptive quarantine, Alexander was able to visit two churches in small towns. In one church he led a conference on the topic of "Fullness of Life" and in the other church he preached for the Lord's Supper service. In addition to these weekend ministry opportunities, he has had a full load of teaching in the seminary. He's teaching theological English, church history for two different programs, and leading two weekly chapel services.
Alex eagerly desires to train more believers in small churches throughout Ukraine in God's Word. For many of those people, making a trip to the big city would be financially and logistically impossible. That's why Alexander focuses his time and energy on "going to them." Would you consider multiplying Alexander's ministry by financially partnering with him so that he can make the expense to travel to small churches outside the city for trainings?
Winter Expectations
The government of Ukraine extended the adaptive quarantine until February 28, 2021 with different restrictions. It has already been announced that in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Ukraine a strict quarantine will take place from January 8-24, 2021.
Would you pray for Alex and Luba as they seek the Lord's wisdom for ministry throughout the next few months?
At the Crisis Pregnancy Center
In November, the Choose Life leadership team led a training in pro-life ministry for a small group in a town just outside the big city. It was a very intense and blessed day for everyone! Join in praying that God will guide this group of people as they plan and prepare for pro-life ministry. Pray that God will show Luba and the team how to be a good resource for them in the future.
