Join Live Global as we embark on a 8-day transformational journey designed to encourage and refresh North American pastors and leaders. Our November 2024 vision trip will take us to the vibrant and beautiful Dominican Republic where you will witness Live Global partnership ministry firsthand.

This intentional encounter aims to provide you a deeper understanding of partnership ministry philosophy, foster new reciprocal relationships between you and national ministry leaders, and equip you to engage your church in hands-on Great Commission work overseas.

We understand the importance of rejuvenation and personal growth for pastors and leaders. That’s why we have crafted an experience that allows you to unwind and reflect in comfortable hotels with beautiful beaches. You will also be refreshed during our brief devotional times led by our Live Global and ABWE leadership.

Throughout the tour, our experienced team will be by your side, looking out for your safety and comfort. You won’t want to miss out on this unique opportunity. We are sure you will come away inspired and with new answers to the questions:

  • Where is God working?
  • Who is He using?
  • How can your church participate in advancing the gospel to the ends of the earth?

Our Schedule:

November 4th, Monday Santo Domingo

Arrive at SDQ and travel by shuttle to our all-inclusive resort, Coral Costa Caribe, just outside of Santo Domingo.  We’ll enjoy dinner and a meet and greet, then give you time to explore the beach or rest from your travel.

Night 1 at Coral Costa Caribe

November 5th Tuesday La Romana

After breakfast, we will head out for a beautiful drive to La Romana where you will learn about two incredible ministries. You will meet Pastor Ramon Garcia and see first-hand how Iglesia Bautista La Romana is ministering to both Dominicans and Haitians in their area. We’ll visit the orphanage, the church, and a unique community called Autovia. You will also meet representatives from Bold Hope, as they introduce you to ministry in the bateys. These small, rustic, communities are home to migrant Haitian workers laboring in the sugar cane fields. You’ll get a glimpse of how the North American church is impacting these oppressed and struggling men and women with the Gospel.

Night 2 at Coral Costa Caribe

November 6th, Wednesday Historical Tour/Food Tour

Today, you choose! You are welcome to relax and enjoy the beautiful resort and beach, or join us for a day of walking and learning in the Dominican Republic’s beautiful capital, Santo Domingo. Founded in 1496 by the brother of Christopher Columbus, Santo Domingo is the oldest permanent city established by Europeans in the Western Hemisphere. We’ll enjoy lunch in a café in Colonial Zone and a fascinating tour of important Dominican sites.  The evening concludes with dinner on the town and a debrief at our hotel.

Night 3 at Coral Costa Caribe

November 7th, Thursday Puerta Plata

Let’s grab an early breakfast and make our way to Puerta Plata. This drive will take us straight through the heart of rural Dominican Republic, giving you a glimpse into the lives of both Dominicans and Haitian refugees. After checking into our resort, you will have the afternoon to enjoy the beach and activities provided by the resort.  We’ll wrap up our day with dinner and fellowship at the beach with our Live Global partner, Pastor Pierre Predestin.

Night 4 at Sunscape Puerto Plata

November 8th, Friday Puerta Plata

After breakfast at the hotel, grab your hiking shoes, because we are headed for the hills. Today you will have a chance to view the farm and land Pastor Predestin has purchased to support both My Father’s House Orphanage in Haiti and also a new orphanage planned in the hills of Puerto Plata. You’ll get to meet Pastor Pedro as well, visit the church he leads, and hear more about life in this rural Dominican/Haitian community.  We’ll also explore the mini-mart and a computer lab, two thriving Business as Mission (BAM) projects that have been open for almost 2 years.  We’ll end our day back at the resort for dinner and debrief.

Night 5 at Sunscape Puerto Plata

November 9th, Saturday Santiago

Today is a day when we would like to give you plenty of time to rest and enjoy the beautiful beach and nature of this part of the island. Whether you enjoy hiking in the mountains or chilling in the water, our hope is that you will be recharged

Night 6 at Sunscape Puerto Plata

November 10th, Sunday Santiago

On to our last stop… Santiago de los Caballeros.  Life in urban Santiago is very different from many of the places we’ve encountered on our journey so far. You will have the privilege of meeting Live Global partner, Ismael Dora and his family.  After fellowshipping with Puñal Bible Baptist Church members, both in their homes and in a housing project nearby, we’ll wrap up the day enjoying dinner with the Dora family. After lunch, those who are interested will have a chance to visit the Bible College and meet some of the students impacted by the Dora’s ministry.

Night 7 at Hodelpa Garden Court

November 11th, Monday Santiago

On our last full day together, we are going to see and hear the Dora family’s vision for the future. We will not only spend the morning with the preschool students, but we will also tour the land that God has provided for the new church building, preschool, and church leaders training center. We’ll end this day with dinner in downtown Santiago with a view of the monument. It’s a beautiful end to a great week together.

Night 8 at Hodelpa Garden Court

November 12th, Tuesday Fly Home (Santo Domingo)

It will be an early morning departure for our 2 hour drive back to Santo Domingo.  You’ll head home with a heart full of gospel stories that we hope you are excited to share! Please book your return flight departing after 12pm.

*Please note that this itinerary is planned around arrival into the Santo Domingo Airport (SDQ). We understand that you and your travel group may want to plan extra days in the beautiful Dominican Republic. It is possible to arrive or depart from other airports, please keep us posted if you opt to do so.
