Unreached People Groups

The Adoption Process

1. Pray

People come to faith in Jesus Christ through the moving of God's Spirit, combined with the proclamation of His word. (Romans 10:14-15)

Prayer is not just the first step in the process, it is the core to every step of the journey.

2. Identify

Just as Paul had a missions strategy that included his target people, we also have identified strategic people groups in desperate need of the Gospel. We can connect you to one that you can specifically pray for and give toward.

We have identified more than 100 unreached people groups that we're ready to target, with about a dozen high priority ones.

3. Translate

The people groups we're targeting first don't have any Gospel material or Scripture in their heart language. Our first step is to translate "The Ancient Path" Gospel booklet into their mother tongue. This booklet walks readers through the Biblical narrative in a way that they understand from their culture.

The average translation cost is $300.

4. Print

While we also publish "The Ancient Path" in digital formats, print is still the most effective way to reach the majority of the world, especially in areas where people own very few printed books and treasure physical copies.

The average print cost is $1,200 for 10,000 booklets.

5. Distribute & Disciple

Many of the areas where these unreached people groups live are off-limits to North Americans. That's one of the reasons it makes great sense to partner with national believers from the same or neighboring countries who are able to effectively distribute Gospel material and build relationships.

The average cost to equip and hire a full-time local missionary is $1,000.

6. Establish a Church

As people become believers in Christ, the next step is to see a local church established.

7. Continue to equip & encourage

We're in this for the long haul. We want to see churches reproduce, local pastors lead, societies transform, and the Gospel continue to advance.

“And they sang a new song: ‘You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.'” (Revelation 5:9)
