About National Ministry Leader Training Initiatives
Use your imagination with me for a minute. Let’s assume you did not grow up in a Christian home, or even in a “Christian” country. In fact, let’s say, just for an example, that you grew up in a Hindu home in a basically Hindu country. Then, through someone’s influence, you heard about Jesus and the gospel and you accepted Christ as your Savior. Before long others around you have made that same choice and the decision is made to start a church. Looking around, the group finally points to you to become their pastor. The only problem is that you don’t know much more about the Bible than many of them, but you agree. Now the question comes, what do you do next?
Step back into reality. As unique as it sounds to many of us in North America, this type of situation is repeated multiple times around the world. In fact, the generally accepted statistic in missions is that 85% of pastors in the global south have less than three days of ministry training. Now, compare that to the years of study and experience your pastor brings to his role.
Live Global is endeavoring to respond to this need for training among national church leaders in several ways. The challenge is that many of these national pastors do not have the resources to gain the training they need and desire, so we are bringing the training to them.
We are inviting North American church leaders to share their knowledge, experience, and skills with these very pastors in their locations. The Live Global National Ministry Leader Training Initiative is designed to assist national pastors with expenses such as travel, lodging, and materials. Your contribution helps national church leaders gain greater strength for the ministry which God has placed before them.
