Teaching and Serving by Faith
"I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips. Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together." (Psalm 34:1&3)
Alex and Luba Abramov are praising the Lord with thankful hearts for His goodness and faithfulness to them, even as COVID 19 continues to impact their lives and ministry in Ukraine. Some areas have seen a return to the highest level of restrictions. Their prayer list grows almost daily as they hear about friends contracting the virus.
Alex has been able to continue teaching the classes that he started earlier this year. Theological English, Church History II, and Christian Worldview are some of the subjects he will continue through the spring semester until the end of May. He has also had many opportunities to serve in local churches leading youth Bible games and group Bible studies. Recently he taught a one-week class for pastors called Theology and the Practice of Prayer. Alex is trusting the Lord will produce much fruit through these efforts.
Despite the restrictions, the Choose Life Women’s Center has remained open. Though the number of visitors is limited and strict protocols have to be followed, Luba and her team continue to help meet the needs of women facing crisis pregnancies. In March, the president of Choose Life (Holly) and Luba visited several churches to share about their ministry and recruit volunteers. They were blessed with warm receptions and much interest in the vital work being done through Choose Life.
Will you pray for Alex and Luba? Here are some specific ways you can do that. Please pray for—
- COVID cases to decline and their ministry capabilities to be less restrictive.
- Protection as violent crimes have escalated.
- Much spiritual fruit through Alex’s teaching and training.
- Women’s hearts to be turned towards God as Luba and her team serve the spiritual and physical needs of women through Choose Life.
