Sowing Seeds in Springtime

Spring arrived in Ukraine and Alex and Luba have learned to look past the garbage and the areas that are not maintained in order to praise God for the beauty of nature in their part of the world.
Teaching, Speaking, and Sending
Alex has continued teaching the classes he started earlier this year, including Theological English, Church History II, and Christian Worldview. The Lord also provided an opportunity for him to speak at a family picnic organized by a church in Odessa. His theme, The Body as a Temple of the Holy Spirit, was well received and led to active participation and discussion by those who attended.

He also visited two other churches, preaching and encouraging the pastors in their work. Alex said,
In May, the Seminary hosted a farewell prayer service for the new missionaries from mission’s program going to Uganda for their practical experience. All of them are girls! Now our five girls are in Uganda, and we continue praying for them.
New Life at the Women's Center
Training new volunteers continues at the Women’s Center. Many of them are almost ready to serve independently in their ministry to clients. Luba shares this prayer request:
I would like to ask special prayer for my client. I have been working with her for a long time, and she has many issues in her life. We have worked together through different courses and God has touched her heart, shown her His miracles, and she has repented and accepted Him as her Savior! She is getting ready to be baptized and I am praying that nothing would hinder her from that.
Would you praise God with us for the opportunities He has given Alex and Luba to share the Gospel, for the faithful training that is happening, and for the salvation of Luba's client? Here are some ways you can also pray for them.
Pray for:
- Health and safety as Alex and Luba travel and visit churches in surrounding areas.
- The five girls who are serving in Uganda to gain practical mission experience.
- Luba's client to grow in her walk with Christ and be baptized.
- Timothy Alexander, Alex and Luba’s son, who recently graduated from college, that he will seek God’s will and purpose for his future.
