Ismael & Emmania

Ismaël and Emmania Dora are a Haitian couple who came to Atlanta, GA in 2010 to receive theological training. Ismael has earned his master’s degree in Divinity from Luther Rice University (Lithonia, GA), his ThM from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary (Wake Forest, NC), and his PhD in Hebrew and Old Testament from Clarks Summit University/Baptist Bible Seminary (Clarks Summit, PA). His wife, Emmania has completed her dental training in Haiti and her master’s degree in Public Health from Liberty University.

They have been blessed with four children: (1) Michelle Dora (January 04, 2011), Ishaelle Dora (March 27 2014), Ismael Dora Jr. (June 13, 2017), and Daniel Dora (February 19 2022).

In 2020, Ismaël and Emmania were commissioned as missionaries by ABWE/LiveGlobal (Association of Baptists for World Evangelism) to minister the gospel among the Haitians living in the Caribbean.  Their mission is to glorify God through preaching, teaching, theological training, and community development.

Ismael has started Puñal Bible Baptist Institute. This Bible Institute is operating in five different locations: 4 in Santiago and 1 in Santo Domingo. They have 75 students (15 Dominicans and 60 Haitians).

Over this past year, God has allowed them to start a children’s school with 30 children in attendance.  They are praising God for this opportunity that God has given them to offer a quality education to the marginalized and underserved Haitian children in their community.  They want to train them academically to ensure they become competent leaders to help transform their corrupt society. More importantly, however, they desire that they know God and the excellency of Christ Jesus, who died to give us eternal life.
