About Sports, Art, and Kid's Ministry with Alvaro
The Ramirez family works to give Gospel hope to people in Nicaragua. They use sports, art, ESL classes, and kids outreaches like VBS to reach communities that have been traditionally closed to hearing the Good News.
Alvaro said, "VBS is what placed God’s ministry in the community we live. We were able to get into households that were closed to the Gospel. A local Christian in the area told us that no evangelical could get to a certain home. They were always asked to leave. But when we went, not because of who we are, but rather Who we represent, that family wanted to talk to us. They told us about their problems, their children approached us and wanted to also tell us about their school and their friends. I don’t know you, but I think God is on to something here."
Through the efforts of this family and those that serve alongside them, they've been able to begin small group Bible studies, Sunday school, and prayer meetings to help people in their community learn the truth about Christ.
