A Personal Message from Myanmar
When Live Global partners write to tell about their ministry, it’s a personal message. These letters from friends express heartfelt reasons to rejoice. They also share burdens to carry together. Listen to a personal message in Suan’s own words, mixed with summaries about the ministry in Myanmar.
“Dear Partners in the ministry,
By the grace of God, we are in good health now. We hope you are all good.
A lot have happened with in the last three months, some of our close co-evangelists, missionaries, and Bible teachers have gone to be with the Lord due to covid-19. We, I and my wife, and all our family members back home … also suffered from covid-19 but God is so gracious that we recovered from the covid-19 Delta Variant now, we believe God wants us to reach more unreached people groups with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”
Currently, people in Suan and his wife Lyn’s community can’t go out after noon. Covid19 lockdowns in his region continue, along with military coup resistance groups fighting the military junta. Suan sees soldiers everywhere, and reports describe arrests and torture. Still, he says, “We could continue to share the Gospel with some Buddhists and also we passed out Ancient Path Gospel tracts to as many Buddhists as we can.”
ALLOWED TO SERVE
Lockdowns and fighting haven’t stopped serving. Gifts sent by North American churches and individuals help provide much needed relief. The supplies feeds people and open doors.
“We could only visit and share the Gospel with the people in locked down villages because you helped us to give food reliefs to the hungry ones, we could still go out and share the Good news with whom we have helped out but we need to look around and go wisely. Because of the fear of the pandemic and the military coup, we all think that we felt the presence of God closer than before. Our God controls all things according to His own good pleasure. He works all things according to the counsel of His will. (Ephesians 1:11).
Even bad things, very bad things, are under His control …”
In his personal message to the Live Global network, Suan asks us to pray.
- Pray for Suan and Lyn and their house church members, that the Lord may keep them safe from the pandemic and the aggressive soldiers and policemen.
- Pray for Suan’s kids' education. They have missed almost two academic years of schooling, due to Covid and the coup. State and private schools remain closed. Suan explains, “Last year we let them attended online school for four months; they were quite expensive compare to their previous school. Now we just wait and pray. Please pray for the leading hands of God for our kids' education.”
- The country seems to have passed their third Covid wave. “Please pray for us that … we rely fully on the Lord's protection.’
May the grace of our Lord and Savior be with you and may He bless you more abundantly for His own glory! Amen
