About Reaching Rural Burmese

Suan and Lyn have been sharing the Gospel with Buddhists and animists since 2009. Now in 2021, they plan to extend their ministry to villages in a southern state of Myanmar.

Suan and Lyn have used "The Ancient Path," a small Gospel booklet that explains God’s plan for mankind in a way that is appealing to people groups in Southeast Asia.

Suan says “'The Ancient Path' is the plow that breaks up the hard heart.” They also use other literature along with small gatherings to explain who Jesus is.

Meet the Leaders: Suan and Lyn

“I think about the death rate in my country and I can't help but think, 'I have to go.'”—Suan

There are tens of thousands of villages in Myanmar where no missionary and evangelist have ever been and the Gospel has not been preached there. In 2009, Suan and his wife were called to reach rural Burmese Buddhists who had no idea who Jesus is.

They have been living in a region where there are over 5 million Buddhists, spirit-worshipers, and animists. Suan and Lyn have 4 daughters.
