Girls Home Rescues Two Sisters
Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these." Jesus clearly had a heart and compassion for the children of the world. Here is a story of just one of these.
Kaia is five years of age and is currently doing her academic studies at the girls home in East India. Kaia has never attended school but our desire at the girls home is for her to start her class 1 studies at a local English medium school.
Kaia, along with her sister Keva, are both living at the girls home. Their mother, Aarti, has had to live a very difficult life in the red light district.
Aarti's desperate pleas to the girls home's director stirred all our hearts to take action and help these two girls whom Jesus loves to a safer and loving environment.
Aarti shared that she does not want her daughters to live in an environment without hope or a future and desires both Kaia and Keva to be agents of change for India. During our interview with Aarti, she shared that on many nights she was forced to lock both her daughters, Kaia and Keva, in a small room for hours in order to protect them from her work in the red light district. It's with gratitude to the Lord that we rejoice that these girls are safe now.
Since coming to the home, Kaia has adjusted very well and is thriving at playing the piano and studying English. Kaia, by God's grace, appears to be on her way to a normal life of a 5-year-old girl. Even though Kaia's mother is still in a desperate stage of her life, she can rest assured that her daughters are safe and will be provided opportunities to be successful.
This ministry that rescues the children of sex workers needs your prayer that the girl's hearts will be softened to the teachings of Jesus. They are asking God for continued protection and health for the girls and for them. Plus, please pray for our caregivers, as they face an extremely difficult task. Each of the girls have experienced some level of trauma and it's of critical importance that our caregivers can handle the girls' questions and problems.
