About Reaching the Islands with Pastor Angelo

A caring and obedient church in the Philippines is working to fulfill Jesus' mandate in Matthew 28:19-20 to "Go and make disciples of all nations."

They've already reached three of the six islands in their area with the Gospel and they're praying for their upcoming efforts to reach the last three.

So far they've visited the islands and done evangelistic outreaches, but they're specifically praying for a married couple to send there to live and work full time in ministry. The islands are remote. They're a five-hour boat ride from the mainland. Please join us in prayer for God to provide the right couple to go and labor there in ministry.

Meet the Pastor: Angelo

Pastor Angelo is the lead pastor of Boracay Baptist Church that is working to reach the six islands in their area in the Philippines. God pursued Angelo throughout his youth in various ways and planted seeds in his heart through a vacation Bible school and some other missionaries. Finally, through regular attendance at a solid local church and a youth camp, Angelo surrendered his life to Christ.

Throughout the years before and afterward, God kindly led Angelo past false teaching and brought him to a biblical understanding of His Word. His first ministry opportunity was leading a Bible study while he was working at an island resort. Finally, his study group got so big someone encouraged him to begin a church there and pastor it. Today Angelo's church is making disciples, planting other churches, and training people in biblical theology through their Bible school.
