Day to day, Pastor Abel in Nicaragua serves as a pastor of his own church, but he’s also a master networker who serves pastors all over the country by encouraging them in the pastorate and helping them plan, execute, and evaluate their ministry plans.
Pastor Abel’s day to day of ministry is always something new, but here are three snapshots of how he’s been able to serve his pastor friends in Nicaragua.
An Evangelistic Brigade
He called it an “evangelistic brigade” and the objective was to work with pastors and church leaders in a specific area of Nicaragua to bring the Gospel to five communities—bringing food, medicine, and Bibles to families in great need.
Abel and his team of pastors held evangelistic meetings for more than 700 people, provided food and medicine to 350, visited 130 houses, delivered 400 Gospel booklets, gave away 96 Bibles, and involved more than 80 children in kids programs throughout the days. More than a dozen children and adults made professions of faith during the team’s time in the area, and we are praising the Lord for that fruit and certainly more we don’t know about yet! Pastor Abel also helped one of the pastors he worked do evaluations to plant a congregation in two of the five communities they visited. Let’s pray that God moves in that area to bring many people to a saving faith in His Son.

A Focus on Marriage
Pastor Abel also worked to encourage and assist four pastors and a couple from each of those churches with a marriage event. The temperatures were high, but they managed to end the activity with a call to the attending group to make marital commitments in which we show Christ in our families, churches, and communities through love and respect in marriage. Pastor Abel said several people asked his team to take the conference to another community, and Lord willing they will in the coming months!

Making a Plan and Schedule
The third major way Pastor Abel served pastors in his country was through gathering seven different pastors to plan and schedule evangelistic activities, in which all of their churches will work together. The goal is to serve communities through provision of economic and material resources as a way to lead to Gospel fruit. Pastor Abel helped the group plan evangelistic activities for the remainder of the year 2021 and they also evaluated the logistics of each activity.
Filling Each Day
When Pastor Abel isn’t working with pastors during strategic events and planning sessions, he’s making pastoral visits to see how area pastors and their families are doing, and asking them to see what future ministerial projects he can support them on. From founding new congregations to leading food relief efforts, pastors all over Nicaragua are working hard to see their people come to know Jesus. Let’s pray for all of their efforts and for Pastor Abel’s role.
