Partner with a Missions Training Camp in Paraguay

It’s normal for American Christians to hear of and attend missions conferences in the United States as we often ponder whether God is sending us on mission or if we should be involved in sending others.

But do you know that Christians in other countries, like Paraguay, attend missions training events as well? You can personally send one person to the missions training camp in Paraguay and pray that God works in their heart for Kingdom work.

Missions Training Camp

Live Global partners Sergio and Becky in Paraguay will lead Missions Training Camp (Campamento de Entrenamiento Misionero or CEM) this July 8 to 13. Young people from churches around Paraguay will come to be inspired and to get involved in sharing the Gospel with others.

For several years now, Jeroviá Church in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay has provided this unique opportunity for teens and young adults to be challenged by the Great Commission, to learn about cross-cultural ministry and evangelism, and then to put what they’ve received into practice.

Sergio says, “In these camps we’ve seen God working and opening the eyes of many young people about missions and igniting a passion in their hearts for His glory and that He would be known among all nations. Many of them experience sharing the Gospel publicly for the first time.”

A Testimony of Two Generations

Some time ago Ariel attended the camp, coming from the city of Encarnación, about 300 kilometers south of Ciudad del Este. He went with a desire to learn about missions, but God did more than he expected. Through the camp experience, Ariel understood that the Lord wanted him to be involved in a special way. God lit a fire in his heart that kept growing.

Eventually, Ariel and his wife responded to the missionary call. Two years ago, they were sent out by their local church as missionaries to another city. God uses a variety of ways and means to carry out his purposes. In Ariel’s case, Missions Training Camp was an instrument that God used to direct his life.

En 2023 two of Ariel’s teenaged sons participated in the camp. They received tools that they can apply in ministry alongside their parents. This year they are motivating other young people from their city to join them in the camp experience and to take part in the work of the Great Commission.

Give to Support the Missions Training Camp

Sergio and Becky are praying that more young people will be able to attend the camp. You can partner with them in this ministry opportunity by making a $50 donation which will cover the cost for a camper. You can invest in helping someone in Paraguay to have the unforgettable experience of learning from God’s Word and then sharing the Good News with others. Pray for the camp to be effective and fruitful. God wants young people in Paraguay to make Christ known among all nations.
