Encouraging the Persecuted and Raising New Evangelists

Please check out the pictures of our new evangelists—from a new mother to elderly people to kids. It was so good to teach them sound doctrine.

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Who shall bring any charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword?

As it is written, ‘For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.’

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:31-39)

Their Fellow Villagers Were Against Them

We would like to praise God for His mercy upon our recent ministry in midwest Nepal. And we would like to thank you very much for your prayers. God really was with us while we served Him one of the most remote mountainous areas of Nepal.

Trail

The Lord led us to one family along the east west highway. We crossed the hotel, but I wanted to turn the jeep around and eat there. After eating breakfast, we tried to give a family the gospel and found out that they went to church for five years and stopped attending church just because their fellow villagers were against them.

So the Lord gave us awesome opportunity to encourage and warn them. Please pray for this family.

Warned of Forsaking the Lord

The same thing happened another morning as we stopped for breakfast. A young girl we met also stopped going to church because of her family opposition. You can see her in the picture as she was encouraged in the Lord.

Encouraged under family opposition

She was crying while I warn her of forsaking the Lord. Please pray for her as well.

New Evangelists Born Out of Training Conference

Many believers from five different churches gathered for teaching and training for two days. They were encouraged by the Word about the assurance of salvation and challenged to share the gospel.

Literature

I was so happy to see that right after the training, these people were taking the literature even before I noticed. Please check out the pictures of our new evangelists—from a new mother to elderly people to kids. Oh, praise the Lord. It was so good to teach them sound doctrine, one of the things most needed in Nepali churches!

Reaching People During a Main Hindu Festival

We drove another day up to the mountain crossing five rivers and using four-wheel-drive. The road was bad and steep. But the Lord kept us. Then we hiked for eight hours until 10:00 PM.. We had a wonderful time of preaching the gospel along the trail.

Then next day the teaching went great in the presence of two of the Maoist leaders of the area. They listened to the gospel for 3 hours. They were invited by the church and they were a big help for the church in the area during persecution from the so-called democratic political party. God works amazingly.

They sat beside me while I was teaching and later I gave them the Gospel of John and other literature. Our team members also had a wonderful time of ministry among the children in the village. Many literatures were distributed and we preached to many souls. We were there during the main Hindu festival and it is really exciting to preach Christ and Him crucified during that season.

Good Blessings and Good Food

One of the pastors of the area offered our team a great lunch: flat corn bread with stingy nettle and red hot chilies. It’s one of the best foods on the trail. God bless this pastor.

Trail food

Though the car broke down three times, the Lord kept us safe. And I remember Paul saying how he had to go through the hardships during his missionary journey. God was with us also and He kept us.
