Rahiv is one of the Koinonia Church Network church planters in Nepal. He’s considered a role model because of his strategic methods and heart for missions.
Rahiv’s Church Planting Strategy
The first thing Rahiv does is network among the people in the area he is trying to reach. He asks God to provide a person of peace among this group. When he finds one, he shares the gospel with him and begins to invite others to join them in a small group.
Rahiv will share the gospel with each of the people in the group and as people begin to trust the Lord, a small church is born. Over time, Rahiv trains certain men to become capable leaders of the church. Then Rahiv moves on to the next location.
Driving Profession as a Way In
For work, Rahiv was a professional driver. He did it for 42 years. Imagine the networking opportunities! During his time driving, he was able to form several small groups in the Western part of Nepal.
Today, Rahiv has moved on to an area in central Nepal where he is beginning the church planting process. After nine months in the area, the Lord has led him to meet a person of peace! Through this person more people are coming to know the Lord and be saved.
Their fellowship time in this new small group is on Monday nights. Let’s pray the Lord works mightily to begin a church here!
