Training Families with Pastor Joseph Akakpo

Make a Difference

About the Ministry

After experiencing a remarkable rebirth into the Christian faith, Pastor Joseph and his wife Francisca now have a vision to help build strong Christian families in Togo, West Africa. They are training families and Christian teens through regular gatherings, Bible studies, church planting, and national conferences.

Joseph’s ministry is already involved with more than 150 local churches from the south to the north where they minister to parents and youths. But there is much more work to do. Togo has a population of 7 million people. Pray they can all be reached and discipled for Christ.

Meet the Pastor: Josheph Akakpo

Josheph Akakpo

Pastor Joseph Akakpo used to be the chief of his village in Togo, West Africa. But through the testimony and witness of foreign missionaries, Jesus saved Joseph in 1983. Joseph surrendered his life to Christ and for this decision, had to step down from being chief. He experienced much persecution, but despite the trials, Joseph trained to become a pastor. He’s been pastoring a church in Togo for more than 15 years. Now he leads the national movement of the fellowship of churches to reach children, youth, and families with the truth of the Bible.

Today, Pastor Joseph’s heart is to see young people throughout West Africa experience new life in Christ. He spends his time training families to follow the Lord with all their hearts. Read Pastor Joseph’s full testimony.
