About the Ministry

God led Juan Carlos Escobar and his wife Alejandra to plant a church in the busy city of Ciudad del Este, on Paraguay’s border with Brazil and Argentina.

Juan Carlos Escobar and Alejandra have served in Ciudad del Este for more than 28 years and they serve as missionaries through a Chilean missions agency called Adelphos. God has used them to establish a dynamic church, Iglesia Bautista Bíblica Jerovia, in a city of great spiritual need and opportunity.

They also lead Hope Christian School, which provides outreach and discipleship to families in the community. Pastor Escobar invests himself in training other men and women for ministry.
