Praying Long, Powerful Prayers

Robin and Salina have been praying one prayer for a long time—for Salina's brother Pola to accept Christ. The couple planned to be out of the country this summer, but when a near-neighbor country withheld a visa for Salina, they stayed for the camp ministry season in their home country. While they stayed, they prayed long, powerful prayers.
"One of the greatest experiences in life is when you see God answering prayer. Especially when you were praying for a long time for someone to accept Christ. We had that awesome experience at the youth camp in Egypt this summer."
Salina and Robin invited Pola to youth outreach camps for six years in a row. He always refused. But while the couple remained in Egypt for the summer, they introduced their brother to some of their team. The young believers lived out their testimony of conversion before Salina's brother.
"This summer we invited him again," Robin said, "and because of his newly formed relationship with the team, he actually agreed and came to the youth camp."
After six years, Pola came to the camp with his new friends. Salina and Robin say that, "God met him at camp and it was as if he would experience real life for the first time ever."
After a prayer night, Pola came to Robin and said, "I feel I missed a lot in my life." His brother-in-law told him that it’s never too late to begin experiencing the life God desires for us. They prayed together and Pola accepted the Lord.
"We are grateful and filled with joy. We share this with you to rejoice with us. You are part of what happened in this young life. Your prayers are powerful."
