Hope International School (HIS) in Yangon, Myanmar opened in 2015 with preschool and kindergarten. At that time, Lydia (the founder of the school) was praying the Lord would allow HIS to add one grade each year. And God has provided!
This June, in 2017, HIS began the school year with preschool all the way to second grade! Praise God.
Hope Children to Hear the Gospel
At Hope International School, many of the students come from Buddhist families. Myanmar is a Buddhist-majority country. But even Buddhist families are often willing to send their kids to an international school like HIS so their kids can learn English at a young age, even if the school is openly Christian.
Pray for the young ears (from both Buddhist and Christian homes) in every grade to be open to the good news and the young hearts to receive Jesus Christ as Savior!
HIS Adds Staff for New Grade
As HIS continues to grow, they must hire new teachers to teach the additional grades. And HIS has hired some top-notch teachers who love the Lord and have a passion for teaching kids the truth of God’s Word. Combined, the salaries for these teachers cost $800 per month.
Would you also pray with us that God would provide the funding needed to continue paying these teachers the amount they are worth?
