This Is an Akha Welcome Team

Praise God for this Akha welcome team (pictured above) at a new church building in an Akha village located just over the Thailand border in the country of Myanmar. These people have heard and believed the gospel as a result of the ministry of Pastor Kiatisak, founder of Grace Ministries.
This ministry has had a heart for the least-evangelized hill tribes of Thailand and surrounding countries since its inception several decades ago.
Grace Ministries narrowed in on one particular tribe—the Akha tribe—as they desired to see the ends of the earth reached for Christ. The Akha people have a unique culture and history, and God has been working mightily among them in the past several years.
(Visit the Church Planting Among the Akha People project to find out more about the Akha people specifically.)
Twenty-three years ago, Thai Pastor Kiatisak and some other faithful men first visited an Akha village in nearby Myanmar to evangelize the people there. Today, there is a church planted and two pastors who are leading their flock of 350-400 adults. Pray that this church body continues to grow as men and women accept Christ as their Lord and Savior.
