The Gift of Jesus
The Covid-19 crisis has caused not only physical hunger in the country of Myanmar, but great spiritual hunger as well. When Christmas was drawing near, Biak, Esther, and their team decided to organize an outreach event in the slums of their city to spread the good news of Jesus and the true meaning of the holiday.
God graciously provided funding to purchase the necessary supplies for Esther to be able to prepare some simple food (including vegetables!) that they were able to distribute, calling it a Christmas gift to those attending the outreach.
While Biak and others passed out the physical gift of food, two others were able to present a short message about the spiritual gift of Jesus, and how he came to earth as a baby—the real reason to celebrate Christmas.
Because of God’s provision, over one hundred people received not only physical nourishment, but the good tidings that Christmas isn’t just for Christians, but for everyone because Jesus came for all who believe in Him for salvation!
