When an Electrician and an EMT Say “Here I Am; Send Me”

After Russia invaded Ukraine, believers everywhere have jumped into action, including a North American electrician and an EMT.

God is working and we all have a role. After Russia invaded Ukraine, believers everywhere have jumped into action, including a North American electrician and an EMT.

National Believers Lead Refugee Ministry

Right away, national believers on the ground in Eastern Europe began caring for Ukrainian refugees and sharing the Gospel to those in need. These national Christians were already leading their own ministries in Eastern Europe, and were able to easily pivot their missions to accommodate the needs of their region.

  • Mihai and his ministry team in Moldova drove back and forth to the Ukrainian border picking up refugees to take them to his church, Imago Dei. Mihai and his team have been serving meals and providing places for people to sleep in their building.
  • Alexe and his ministry team in Romania are transforming their Christian camp into a refugee center. Hundreds of people are coming every day for help.

Live Global also has national partners living and serving in Ukraine. Right now they are safe and waiting to see what God will do.

North Americans Use Their Skills to Serve

In God’s providence, He saw fit for several North American Live Global team members to already be traveling in Eastern Europe visiting our partners there when Russia invaded Ukraine. Two other Live Global team members, the electrician and the EMT, decided to fly over to see how they could serve.

They started with shuttling refugees, but when the group met with Alexe, his wife, and their team, the needs—and God’s provision—became clear.

The Need for an Electrician and an EMT

Alexe’s Christian camp in Romania had about 60 refugees so far. The ministry had hired an electrician to get two more buildings livable, but the electrician got sick and had to go to the hospital. So Live Global’s electrician was able to help!

As more and more refugees continue to flood into the country and the refugee camp, it became clear that some of them have medical needs that need attended to. So Live Global’s EMT was able to step in to do what he could.

Now we pray that in a few days, the camp will be able to take on more refugees and be able to care for their physical and spiritual needs.

The Live Global Mission

Live Global exists to passionately cultivate edifying relationships between the North American Church and ministries across the globe to multiply Gospel impact on their communities and beyond.

Live Global doesn’t start, lead, own, or control ministries overseas.

Rather, we take a national-first approach to global partnerships. The national is the leader of the ministry God calls them to, and the North American comes alongside them to learn, serve, and encourage.

This electrician and EMT were mobilized for Kingdom work through their heart to serve, and we believe any skill set can be used to serve national believers with the heart attitude of “Here I am; send me” (Isaiah 6:8). God is working and we all have a role. We’d love to help you find yours.
