Praying for God to Work After Cyclone Vardah

Earlier in December 2016, Cyclone Vardah devastated Chennai, India (one of the biggest coastal cities in the country).
Many people died and the material destruction is rampant. But we know the Lord is sovereign and can redeem this pain for His glory.
Chennai, India Is Home to LIOs
The Faith, Prayer, and Tract League is a Live Global project that has workers all over India. The workers (also called Leaders in Obscurity, or LIOs) are usually just everyday Indian citizens who use their daily jobs and lives to share the good news of Jesus through gospel tracts and conversations. Some LIOs do pastor churches. There are more than 30,000 of these LIOs and it's incredible to hear how God is using them to impact His kingdom!
Chennai, India is one of the cities in India where LIOs live, work, and pass out tracts. It is also home to several churches pastored and attended by LIOs.
Faith, Prayer, Tract League Ministry Impacted by Cyclone
After Cyclone Vardah hit Chennai, Dr. Mano Daniel, the president of the Faith, Prayer and Tract League, reported to Live Global that 14 LIO churches were severely damaged. In fact, he estimates more than $5,000 total will be needed to repair the churches.
Additionally, the press building, where gospel tracts are printed, was also damaged and Dr. Mano Daniel estimates it will cost $2,400 to repair it.
Evangelism Opportunities Presented by Cyclone
The Faith, Prayer, and Tract League has a history of responding to natural disasters with love and compassion for those who lose everything. And above all, they respond with the good news of Jesus Christ. Dr. Mano Daniel said,
We have found that by helping people in their struggle in situations like this brings people to Jesus Christ and the church.
Pray with us that this is true as members from LIO churches start to reach out to the hurting in Chennai, specifically as they run medical clinics in the affect areas.
You Can Help With Cyclone Vardah Relief
As the LIO churches begin to raise funds to repair the damaged buildings and run the medical clinics, they invite you to join them in prayer and support.
Would you pray that many will be saved as they hear the gospel from LIOs and would you pray that finances would be raised to repair what has been broken?
