New Believers and Disciple Makers

“My heart’s desire is always to fulfill the Great Commission by reaching the unreached people groups and make disciples,” said Tungpi. And that is what is happening in Myanmar as God raises up new believers and disciple makers.
NEW BELIEVERS
After two years of faithfully sharing the Good News through the distribution of the Ancient Path Gospel tract, Tungpi planted a church. This ministry began with an outreach to children, but soon he was able to meet with parents and aunts and uncles and form a Bible study class.
Out of this small group, a little church started. One of Tungpi’s first converts was the daughter of an influential community leader. Later her husband and daughter, then her father and other family members, came to faith in Christ and were baptized. This leader in the community now works to reach all of his relatives with the Gospel.
In a new area, people who have never heard the Gospel before listen, coming to faith in Christ. Recently five individuals believed, and now others listen with receptive hearts. Tungpi envisions planting a new church in this place in 2022.

NEW DISCIPLE MAKERS
Tungpi began a discipleship program with 7 students, but that number grew to 17. He challenges them to share The Ancient Path and engage their friends with questions like:
- Do you know Jesus as your personal Savior?
- What is the purpose of your life?
These students committed their lives to distribute The Ancient Path and share the Gospel with their friends from the majority religion. Tungpi’s vision for 2023 is to raise up 200 students across Myanmar who will reach the unreached, encouraging them to,
“…walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” (Colossians 1:10)
Please pray for Tungpi as he faithfully shares the Good News of the Gospel and trains new believers to become disciple makers.
