Understanding the Cross After 28 Years in Church

Imagine attending church for twenty-eight years, and never understanding the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. That’s exactly what Bijaya encountered when he arrived in a small city in Nepal recently at the request of a local church to come and visit. There was obviously a lack of understanding of the Gospel, but unfortunately there is no access to sound training and teaching.

Bijaya Instructs Students in the "True Gospel and True Mission"

By God’s grace, Bijaya's team was able to spend eight hours over the course of two full days instructing students “in the true Gospel and true mission.” Pastors, leaders, and students were all eager to learn, and they encouraged Bijaya to come again to continue teaching them about the Bible. Bijaya was also able to give them salvation literature to help them continue to study God’s Word for themselves. 

Always looking for opportunities, God also provided Bijaya with a chance to share the Gospel with his taxi driver, Amit, while in the city. He was receptive and even accepted a Gospel booklet. Please pray that his eyes would be opened to the truth of God’s Word! 

Pray for a Strong Church

Please continue to pray for the church in that city in Nepal. The need is great for a strong church that is able to reach the community with the hope of the finished work of Christ on the cross.
