The Rocky Souls and Roads of the Himalayas
Bijaya and Bimala are a dedicated Godly couple who share similar passions. Those passions are to love God and reach the lost—specifically, to reach the lost of Nepal. Neither of them allow anything to prevent them from sharing the Good News. The couple have successful traveled to many unreached villages in Nepal as they've made it their lives' work to minister in this way.
Most recently, Bijaya and Bimala returned from another successful trip. This trip involved a trek in the Himalayas, as it often does.
Bijaya said, "We are going to make some efforts with His power to reach the very close tribes living in the mountains behind the Himalayas you can see in the attached video. I took this video last December. We have two districts beyond the Himalayas and the Kingdom Work is nominal so far."
Before entering, the couple was well aware they would likely be bringing the first Bibles the people ever read. Therefore, much prayer and preparation were invested for the trip. The journey was full of wonderful people, rocky roads, and beautiful scenery. In fact, part of the trip is known to be world famous for its beauty. God showed up big as the trip was a success.
God showed up in many ways. One major blessing was that the team got back home safely. Furthermore, during the trip, God opened many doors to be able to witness to the lost. The Gospel was taught in several mother tongue languages and there were numerous hungry souls present. People were so desperate and excited, that they earnestly listened for five hours! They even asked questions to better their understanding. The questions asked were deep and genuine. In fact, the people in the unreached villages remain in contact with Bijaya and Bimala to ask for guidance or seek more answers.
At this point, prayers are appreciated for the people to continue to be open. Now that there is access to homes following the pandemic, guidance is needed to present more of the Gospel. Homes now have the upper hand as a place to share God’s love.
