Snapshots of Saving Grace

Pastor Abel and his wife recently had the opportunity to participate in “Youth Camp English.” They took several young people from their church to serve as counselors. “I was preaching the Gospel…and we had a wonderful response,” says Pastor Abel. Almost 70 young people attended the three-day event.
Saving Grace in the Life of a Fighter
After the message one day, a young man named Jorge approached Pastor Abel and asked for prayer for his family, who he said had many problems. He also requested prayer for himself and his involvement in gang fights. Pastor Abel says, “That day Jorge confessed his sins and asked Jesus to be his Savior and Lord of his life!” Thank God for the work of grace in Jorge’s heart and life.

Saving Grace in the Lives of Leaders
God also graciously allowed Pastor Abel the realization of a ministerial dream—to bring together the pastors and leaders in his Encouraging Leaders ministry in order to conduct the First Pastoral Conference. “The goal for conducting this conference was to reach those men who have the call and heart for the pastoral ministry,” says Pastor Abel. “The Holy Spirit worked in the hearts of these men as they asked each other for forgiveness for past personal and ministerial problems that had not been resolved.”

Along with Pastor Abel, let’s thank God for His saving grace in Jorge’s life and for the grace of forgiveness as the pastors reconciled with each other.
With Paul, Pastor Abel can say,
“I became a servant of this Gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of His power.” (Ephesians 3:7)
