One Box, One Prayer, One Voyage
With a list in hand, most of us can visit a store or shop online to access school supplies. In a week or less, one box can deliver necessary materials to our front door. But sometimes it takes more than one box. Sometimes one item is really thousands, and it takes partnership to get precious resources from here to there. “Books for library” is one of those items on the Faith Baptist Bible College supply list.
It’s been two years since banana boxes made the voyage from North America to Myanmar. Boxes carried 30,000 precious books for students studying theology at Faith Baptist Bible College and Seminary. The nationally led ministry trains students to minister in a country with 50 unreached people groups (UPGs). Faith alumni are part of serving 10 UPGs through ministries of the college and seminary.
Students and faculty eagerly await the arrival of new resources to build the learning library. Once more, 30,000 books are being gathered to support the work of reaching the unreached. These books will fill the college library in Tedim, Maynamar where Sangpi leads the work of educating for eternity. Sangpi says, "I cannot even describe how excited I’m and I’m praising God for his provision and answering our prayers!" It requires partnership to get resources from here to there.
Partners are already gathering resources, preparing boxes and arranging shipping. Sangpi and the community of Faith Baptist Bible College are praying for the arrival of the books. This national leader believes, "It will be a tremendous blessing and a great help to our college and to the people in [this] State." God is preparing a rich store of truth for the faculty and students impacting their region.
