The First Akha Christian in China

Akha village

Meepia was the first Akha Christian in China. Out of 2 million Akhas in the country, she was the only one of them who loved Jesus. Can you imagine?

The Akha Light Foundation then played a huge role in Meepia's discipleship and training. And God has given the increase.

The Akha Light Foundation brought Meepia from China to Thailand in 1998 where she attended Akha Missionary Bible Seminary (though it had a different name back then). Now 19 years later, Meepia and her evangelist team have established 15 churches and there are 600 Akha believers in China!

Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed; he will answer him from his holy heaven with the saving might of his right hand. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God. (Psalm 20:6–7)
