It sounds crazy, but February through May is summertime in Myanmar! At least, it’s the time schools traditionally take some time off to give their students a long and much-deserved break. Faith Baptist Bible College and Seminary follows the same schedule.
After graduating the last class of students at the beginning of February, it’s time for everyone—including the professors—to take some time to rejuvenate before beginning another intense school year of doctrine, evangelism training, theology, and more.
Faith Professors Visit United States
Most of the professors at Faith Baptist Bible College and Seminary are Burmese. Each of them has received solid seminary training themselves and are passionate about raising up the next generation of Christian leaders in their country. It’s incredible to see how God has brought such knowledgeable people to fill this honorable calling.
This summer, God has graciously allowed some of these professors to travel across the ocean to the United States to visit US churches, colleges, and seminaries. They had the opportunity to visit family members who are studying at colleges and seminaries here, and Dr. Mung had the opportunity to preach at many Burmese churches in the US! Many of them will even be returning to Myanmar with some much-needed resources they picked up in the States!
Are You a Trained Seminary Professor?
God has been so gracious to raise up many incredible professors to teach at Faith Baptist. But, as Dr. Mung often says, they are always excited to welcome guest professors from the United States and elsewhere to teach short modules or even for an entire semester.
Of course, in order to be accepted, you would have to have at least a Master’s degree in theology, pastoral studies, missiology, or something similar.
